The 29 Gifts Movement is something I was randomly introduced to one day. I was able to leave my old job early one day. Borders next to my work was closing so I decided to stop by. Despite the influx of ebooks in recent years, you can't beat a good old fashioned book!
I found "29 Gifts" sitting with a few extra copies for 99 cents. I was intrigued. A woman suffering from a chronic illness who changed her life & her outlook by giving to others. As a longtime charity supporter & volunteer, I was in. Besides, I was already at my wit's end. I was looking for something, anything to help my mindset.
I devoured the book. I read it in 2 days flat. It was inspiring, heart breaking, & gave me something to look forward to.
I have decided 2012 is going to be the best year yet, bc I am going to make it that way. And part of that is giving back. So I started my 29 Gifts Project on January 1.
I plan on blogging my 29 Days gift project. I hope it inspires all of you to do the same.
